Episode 60 – How do I go after my dreams when I feel an attachment to my current situation?

Today on The Not-So-Serious Life, Jason and Steve answer Joanna’s question:

“How do I go after my dreams when I feel an attachment to my current situation?”

You know what WE think and now it’s time for YOU to weigh in…

What did you think of Steve’s super-simple, two-step process for moving to your dream location?  (JG took notes because he loved it)

Was JG’s story of picking up and moving his family and his realization about attachments helpful for you to see what may really be holding you back?

  1. Love this video thank you my question is what if you are a single parent and have a child who’s father lives where you want to move from?

    • Hi Louise!

I would say it works exactly the same way, if you choose.

What’s the story that has you believe that your situation is less workable?

Inquire into and challenge that story. Find other truths and see what occurs for you as a result.

      Good luck!

      JG

      • Thanks Jason! When I dig into it i realise it’s other people’s stories and judgements that I have taken on. It’s more the feeling of being a bad parent by moving him away from his father but his life would open up so much more if we were to move and he could still have that contact and see him it might just be a little less than he does now which isn’t going to cause him harm in any way 🙂

  2. Loved this episode….I’m in for “do it now”. We moved from Toronto to the south of France..been here for 6 years now. The cool thing is that once you make that first major move it’s much easier to make the next one 🙂
