Episode 28 – Is it really possible to ‘have it all’?

Today on The Not-So-Serious Life, Jason and Steve answer Katerina’s question:

“Is it really possible to ‘have it all’?”

This question ended up being much tougher for us to answer (or at least articulate in a way that makes some kind of sense) than we thought it would.

If you can see past the double talk, circular reasoning and Zen platitudes, you may just glean a nugget of wisdom that can help you if you think you want to “have it all”.

We talk sacrifice, inner vs. outer “having it all” and how the key to getting to that place, may be focusing on having “nothing” instead.

Plus JG’s lack of knowledge of “classic cinema” may have finally pushed Steve over the edge…

It’s time for YOU to weigh in…

What do you think about this notion of “having it all”? Do you think it is possible? Realistic? Do you feel like you already DO have it all? Let us know in the comments below!

Episode 27 – How can I stop getting caught up in comparing myself to others?

Today on The Not-So-Serious Life, Jason and Steve answer Princess’s question:

“How can I stop getting caught up in comparing myself to others?”

Before we dive into the question of the day, JG shares his own personal “Ladder of Consciousness” and how he uses it to instantly shift from a low state of mind to being high-spirited and Steve talks about we can use LSD (it may not mean what you think it means) to rise us up the ladder!

Steve also talks about how devotion to the people you serve can be the antidote to the envy of others and why you have NO real competition to begin with!

Plus, JG talks about the upside of comparison and how it can actually serve you instead of tearing you down!

And we take a minute to shout out one of our uber-creative, playful and supportive viewers, DJ Emma Short-E in the UK who has taken both Steve and JG’s voices and done amazing things with her scratching skills!

Tell us what YOU think…

How will you use the power of the ladder to raise YOUR spirits the next time you are feeling low?  And in what ways will you USE comparison to build you up?

Episode 25 – How do you set yourself up for success when you want to create something new?

Today on The Not-So-Serious Life, Jason and Steve answer Anne’s question:

“How do you set yourself up for success when you want to create something new?”

After we take WAY too long playing a little game of “guess the Beatle” (which JG fails MISERABLY at), we jump into helping Anne become a “Time (and creativity) Warrior”!

JG shares what he does to manage his energy and space and Steve gives us a really masterful way to get inspired, to take action and to create something original – without all the pressure and stress!

Plus we give a big shout out of love and gratitude to Meredith for her support of our show and for spreading her goodness in the world!  Thanks Meredith!

Episode 24 – How can I have more fun with boring tasks?

Today on The Not-So-Serious Life, Jason and Steve answer Arzu’s question:

“How can I have more fun with boring tasks?”

We all have parts of our lives or work that are important but not necessarily overflowing with fun and excitement on the surface right?

Tune in to Episode 24 of the #NotSoSerious Life to see how Steve and JG bring fun TO our own tasks and activities.

We also talk a bit about outsourcing, delegation and breaking through any self-imposed barriers to utilizing the gifts of others when it makes sense.

Plus Steve shares that the concepts of “boring” and “fascinating” don’t actually exist! #mindblown #POW

How about you?

Besides music and “bribery”, how else do you make the seemingly “not-so-fun” into something you enjoy!?

Episode 22 – How do you turn an idea into a reality?

Today on The Not-So-Serious Life, Jason and Steve answer Aaron’s question:

How do you turn an idea into a reality?

We may be going a little loopy today as we play a game of “Name that Beatle” AND JG does a mentalist trick on Steve that is sure to offend any real magicians who watch the show!

Once we got over our shenanigans, we dove into Aaron’s fantastic question about taking action to execute on an idea.

We have ALL experienced having an amazing idea for a book or a business or some other adventure that we get really excited about and then, the resistance creeps in and we are left with one more unfinished dream or project.

JG and Steve are here for you and share the way they go from “Fantasy” to “PLANtasy”.

Steve outlines his low-tech, old school and super effective way to brainstorming ideas on action steps and JG shares the exact method he used to create a 3-month training program in a very similar fashion!

AND we may have an idea for yet another sponsor since Kelloggs still hasn’t called.  What do you gals and guys think about our new prospect?

It’s time for YOU to weigh in…

Drop us a comment below and tell us what you do to overcome resistance and get into action on your own ideas.
