Episode 12 – How can I be creative when dealing with my parents being gravely ill?

Today on The Not-So-Serious Life, Jason and Steve answer the viewer question:

“How can I be creative and have a growth mind-set when dealing with my parents being gravely ill?”

At some point in our lives we all have or will probably encounter the challenge of seeing the people we love age, deal with sickness or be injured.

That makes today’s The Not-So-Serious Life viewer question one that I’m sure we can all relate to and benefit from talking about.

Tune in to hear our take on how to shift into a place of love, laughter, creativity and hope in the face of what may seem like dire circumstances.

Now, we want to hear your perspective…

Let us know in the comments below if you think approaching this situation as the “Light and Love” instead of the “Doom and Gloom” would be more effective and #NotSoSerious for you and your loved ones?

  1. Nice response to the question! It seems that the solution sort of bridges the subtle difference between sympathy and compassion.

  2. Beautiful answer! Just switching my thinking from “what’s going to happen to them??” to “what would they enjoy?” changes everything! Not So Serious is ALWAYS appropriate, regardless of circumstance. What a relief to realize that! Thanks for that great wisdom, guys.
